For the linked production i will be creating a music video. In this music video i will including sterotypical ways in which females are being represented in music videos nowadays.

This would be a non- hollywood production. It will look like a typical UK hip hop music video.

G - Genre-

The genre that this music video will show is a low budget, urban genre showing the typical codes and conventions of a typical hip hop UK music video.

R- Representation-

In this music video, i will show how women are stereotypically represented in hip hop music videos, ie, Sex objects, attractive, vulnerable etc.

A - Audience -

The target audience this production will be aimed at are mostly teenagers, inbetween the ages of 12-20. This is because most hip hop music videos attract a younger audience.

I - Ideologies And Values-

The purpose of this music video is so that people can understand the typical representations of females in hip hop music videoes, also primarily for entertainment purposes.

N - Narrative

A Music video showing female representations in hip hop music videos throughout the whole production

The prodution will show the ways in which females are typically reprsented in UK hip hop music videos.

H - Historical -

Female representations in hip hop music vidoes have been getting much more popular recently, and is starting to happen more commonly in hip hop music videos. Especially with artists such as Niki Minaj and Rihanna.

E - Economical -

Music artists such as Rihanna follow these stereotypes and in a way promote these stereotypes and they become increasingly popular because she is a glamorous singer.

P - Political -

The way these representations are beng shown could be classed as unnacceptable. They are being shown in an exotic way and some music videos shouldnt be allowed to be published or produced.

At the top of this level candidates demonstrate very good understanding of the chosen area of investigation, very good, independent research skills and very good application of media concepts, contexts and critical debates. The link between the investigation and the production is cogent, clear and evident.
